Our story

Nursery, post office, general store. Now the IceBox.

The Hafen family, one of the original 13 families who settled Ivins, built our building. It started as their nursery, selling plants and flowers, and went on to serve the town as its post office and a little general store. Jayma Dennett's grandmother was the Ivins postmistress here for more than 40 years.

Troy and Jayma Dennett bought the building from the family and remodeled it themselves into The IceBox Grill, which opened in 2008. Since then it's grown from shaved ice and frozen yogurt into a full grill, a shady patio, and a stage for free live music.

Neighbors have voted us a Nextdoor Neighborhood Favorite five years running, and we have about a thousand Google reviews.
